I started painting when I was young- taking Fine Arts classes through college. Fast forward to 2019, I was hired as a house painter and I was ecstatic. I was confident I would be good at it but I didn’t know how much I’d truly love it. I continued with that company for some time, working seasonally at Eldora (my local ski resort). In 2021, I was hired as a subcontractor for a local company, as a painter, but in between jobs I was taught how to do drywall, mud, texture, flooring and so much more. This is when I knew I wanted to do this work for the rest of my life. In 2022, I was brought on full time at Eldora as a Building Maintenance Technician for my painting experience and eagerness to get my hands dirty. In that first summer, I painted several buildings, installed alot of toilets, replaced door handles, locks… you get the idea. If you’ve been to Eldora, you know that giant adirondack chair on Timbers Deck… I painted that too.

In January of 2023, I was promoted to Supervisor of the department and taught a great crew the things I knew. Although I loved that job, I was no longer able to do the projects I wanted to do and loved (I liked doing the work- not supervising it). That was when McIver Custom Design was born. I got my LLC in January 2024 and left Eldora in May. Since then, I have been blessed with amazing clients, doing what I love every single day. I take pride in my work and use numerous skills acquired over the years to provide an unique experience for every client.
